As one of the largest Hunter/Jumper facilities in Michigan, our hacking trails span 260 acres of beautifully manicured farmland belonging to Rattlewood Farms. Trails are groomed and inspected weekly to ensure safe riding at all gaits in a picturesque setting. Whether trail riding for leisurely pleasure or looking for enhanced outdoor conditioning for your horse, Matador Farm is unrivalled in Michigan with its opportunities for hacking out into nature.
Our trail riding options are suitable for beginner through to advanced riders. Novice hackers will enjoy leisurely hacks through open fields, rolling hills and wooded pathways, while more advanced riders can test out our steeper hill tracks, small natural jumps and canter through the fields.
Given our unique proximity to the Metamora Hunt, Matador Farm is pleased to offer opportunities for fox hunting, from beginners wanting to learn how to fox hunt to experienced fox hunters wishing to join an open hunt.
